All students are enrolled automatically in the How to Use the Library tutorial in Blackboard. It’s found under the Courses tab and provides an introduction to the resources available at the Dwight Marvin Library. Topics covered are: Getting Help, Library Space, Library Web Page, How to Find Books, Research Databases, Google and the Web, Citing Sources and Subject Guides.
Users can click on Marvin Library Tutorial for the complete tutorial (with quiz included) 0r they can view the Tutorial by Segment or the Tutorial without Quiz.
If you feel your students (both face-to-face and/or online) would benefit from using this source, please direct them to the non-credit course in Blackboard. If you would like to check this out, faculty will find the Enroll me in “How to Use the Library” option under the Courses tab.
If you would like a segment to include in your course, just contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call Bob Matthews (629-7392) to schedule your class to come to the library for an instruction session.
