The women’s basketball team (3-6) defeated Tompkins Cortland Community College (2-7), 77-47, on Tuesday evening.
The Vikings jumped out of the gate, leading 43-17 behind Angelica Smith’s (Shaker/Latham) 16 first half points. Smith finished with a career-high 32 points and 16 rebounds. Ashley Creighton (Catholic Central/Niskayuna) also had a career-high 20 points and Samantha Tomeck (Duanesburg/Duanesburg) added 13 points in the 30-point victory. Raeshelle Fraiser (Schenectady/Schenectady) finished the game with eight points and 20 rebounds, the first game of the season in which she didn’t record a double-double.
The women travel to Mohawk Valley on Thursday for a game at 6 p.m.
