For 2025, the college moved to Highmark for Medical, Dental and Vision.
Members enrolled in the Medical Plan through Highmark have access to an Affinity Vision Discount Program. This discount program is available only through Davis Vision Providers. It offers things like free eye exams, discounted frames, lenses and contacts.
Members also had the option to enroll in a stand alone Vision plan through Highmark. This uses the Davis Vision network but is more vast than just using a Davis Vision Provider. This option offers a full robust vision plan – exams are covered in full and you receive frame and contact lenses allowances along with other plan benefits.
When using your vision services, if you are enrolled in both medical and the stand alone vision plan, your providers will see the discount plan and the stand alone vision plan on their end. Providers may confuse the two and say you only have the discount program. It is important to note, you should ask your provider to be looking for the Blue Edge Vision Premier Plan on their end. The stand alone vision plans do have their own group number tied to them, this should be noted on your separate vision ID cards. For active HVCC participants, the group # is 10766124. For active EOC participants, the group # is 10766136.
