During the spring semester, the college’s Multimedia and Video Services staff shot nearly a dozen virtual reality (VR) video clips at instructional spaces around the college.
These videos use a 360 degree view video camera that allows us to do stationary videos that can explore interesting and unique instructional areas on campus. Faculty members in each area talked about the space and how it is used by students. This is a great way to showcase the college!
One can use VR goggles to view these, but there’s also the capability to view them as 360 videos on YouTube, so one doesn’t need goggles to view. For best viewing (without VR goggles) use the YouTube mobile app.
Thank you to the faculty and department chairs who helped facilitate these shoots. More are planned for the coming fall semester.
