President’s October report to the Board of Trustees

The college’s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and I’m pleased to share my report and accompanying materials with faculty and staff.

In addition to various curriculum changes and a resolution to amend the Faculty Student Association bylaws, the Board approved a resolution “authorizing the extension of resident tuition rates for the 2017-2018 academic year for students from Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands displaced by hurricanes Maria and Irma.”

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees is Wednesday, Oct. 25, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Meeting Rooms. It is anticipated that the Board will adjourn to an Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees is Tuesday, Nov. 28, beginning with committee meetings at 4:30 p.m., and the monthly meeting at 5 p.m. or thereafter in GUN 148. All Board meetings are open to the public.
