Now online: Workplace and Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

For anyone who could not attend the Workplace and Sexual Harassment Training, online training is now available through the Center for Effective Teaching portal (Blackboard). As part of the training, please review the PowerPoint notes, policies, and video, then complete the short quiz and evaluation form as proof of completion. The college would like the training to be completed by January 31, 2018.

The Workplace and Sexual Harassment Awareness Training will advance your knowledge of an important subject that effects all students, staff and faculty. The goal of this training is to provide information to assist you with handling situations should they arise. This training session will also inform you of the policies of the college, as well as pertinent federal and state mandates regarding this subject.

To access the materials, go to the CET portal, then to the folder labeled “CET Certificate Workshops.” From there, you should have access to an highlighted-orange link labeled “Workplace/Sexual Harassment Awareness Training.”

After completing this training session, you will receive CET credit for one of the categories in the respective certificates.

Certificate Credit: Teaching and Learning
Category: Classroom Management
OR
Certificate Credit: Leadership Development
Category: College Policies and Legal Issues

While all faculty should be enrolled in the CET portal, a set of instructions is attached below for anyone who needs to enroll in the portal. If you need further assistance, please contact CET faculty liaison Tony Podlaski at 629-8064 or a.podlaski@hvcc.edu.
