The Foundation would like to thank all the faculty and staff who have participated in establishing the Bette Frisino Memorial scholarship.
In the season of giving, this scholarship is truly a gift and tribute to all that Bette had accomplished during her time at Hudson Valley.
The Foundation would like to give a special thanks to John Heiser, Erin Hatter and Lisa Van Wie, along with the rest of the Non-Teaching Professionals Union for working hand-in-hand with us to make this scholarship possible. We have never seen a bargaining unit come together in such unity to make such a significant gift to the Foundation.
Currently we have 79 donors who contributed to support our students and to recognize Bette’s passion for Hudson Valley. As a campus we came together; this is truly what a community college is about.
The Hudson Valley Community College Board of Directors and Foundation staff members closed the campaign goal with a holiday gift contribution, and thanks to overall contributions totaling $12,500 and the $12,500 match from the NTP union, we will now be able to endow the Bette Frisino Memorial Scholarship making it available for students each year.
