• 3.1 Change in Program Entrance Requirements and Change in Degree Requirements – Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities and Social Science Honors Track, A.A. -Submitted by Heather Chase and Michelle Bannoura
The department seeks to provide more consistency and clarity in the entrance requirements as well as make some changes to the degree requirements.
• 3.2 New Course – ENGL 224 – Graphic Literature -Submitted by Maria Palmara
The department proposes a new course that reflects an emerging genre in literature.
• 3.3 Change in Course Title – MATH 210- Calculus III -Submitted by Susan Kutryb
The department seeks to change the course title to one that more clearly defines the course.
• 3.4 Deactivate Course– ENGR 210 – Engineering Statics and Strengths of Materials -Submitted by Susan Kutryb
The department seeks to change the program entrance requirements to ensure that students are prepared for the rigor of the Honors program.
• 3.5 Change in Program Entrance Requirements – Liberal Arts and Sciences: Mathematics and Science Honors Track, A.S. – Submitted by Susan Kutryb
The department seeks to consistently title the Honors courses based on recommendation from the Honors Committee.
• 3.6 Change in Program Title and Change in Degree Requirements – Business – Accounting, A.A.S. – Submitted by Ricky Thibodeau
The department seeks change the program title to make it more in line with other programs and proposes and expansion of the required computer course.
• 3.7 Deactivate/Discontinue Degree Program – Business Marketing, A.A.S – Retailing Option – submitted by Ricky Thibodeau
The department requests this deactivation/discontinuance based on the lack of enrollment over the past several years and the consolidation of Marketing programs into one degree offering.
• 3.8 Change in Prerequisites –MECT 125 – Statics and Dynamics – Submitted by Christine LaPlante
The department seeks to include the requirement of a “C” or better on the Math prerequisite for this course.
• 3.9 Change in Prerequisites –MECT 225 – Strength of Materials – Submitted by Christine LaPlante
The department seeks to include the requirement of a “C” or better on the MECT 125 prerequisite for this course and add MECT 105 as a prerequisite.

The department proposes a change to allow CNST 110 or CNST 112 to meet the requirements for degree completion.

The department proposes a requirement of a grade of “C” or better for MECT 125 for program completion.

The department seeks to identify the appropriate prerequisites to ensure the students are appropriately prepared for CISS 210.
• 3.13 Change in Prerequisites, Course Description, Course Title –CISS 272 – Advanced Networking Topics – VOIP and Wireless Technologies – Submitted by James Looby
The department proposes changes to provide title and description more in line with CISCO curriculum as well as appropriate prerequisites.

The department seeks to increase the number of courses requiring a “C” or better in this curriculum and proposes a Computer Science track to align with the SUNY Transfer Pathway.

The proposal reflects the department’s intent to provide a more flexible generic CIS degree that can be tailored to students’ identified outcomes replacing the need for this specific degree program.
