Hudson Valley Community College’s Niemond Zonders Club is currently collecting donations for hurricane relief in the US Virgin Islands with support from the Student Senate.
Students will be collecting donations on Mondays from noon to 4 p.m. outside of FTZ 248.
Items needed at this time are batteries (AA or C), mosquito repellent, mosquito netting, hand sanitizer, Aleve, Advil, Tums, coffee, solar lights, stick lighters, protein bars, beef jerky, tea, rice, and pasta. Amazon gift cards are also being collected to purchase building supplies and heavier materials, in order to save on shipping costs.
Donations will be sent to and St. Croix for transport to St. John and St. Thomas, courtesy of Turn and Burn.
