Calling all cookie monsters (or wannabes)

Frozen cookie dough is a gold medal winner when you need to entertain in a hurry! It’s the perfect solution when you find out it is your turn to bring refreshments for your organization — in an hour! Got a crowd of kids who’ve inexplicably put down their smartphones and are headed to the house? Need to show up at an office party with a treat and you’ve been told you can’t bring chips again? Get this — how about providing a dessert for a crowd that includes a spoilsport who eats only gluten free, or nut free, or dairy free — or any combination of those restrictions?

Turn a nightmare into a win!

It’s easy: Buy David’s Cookie Dough, pre-portioned into 48 nearly-1-oz. perfectly shaped cookies! Make all 48 or just a dozen (or just a few if you’re home alone — who’s going to know?! ). [Note that the gluten/dairy/nut-free variety contains only 32 1-oz cookies, but they’re worth it!]

Each 2.7 lb container is a bargain at $20. Buy a few containers — they keep for up to one year in the freezer (try doing that with homemade — yuck, freezer burn!). Varieties include Hershey’s Triple Chocolate Kiss, Reese’s Peanut Butter Blast, Chocolate Chunk, M&M Rainbow Candy, Mint Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, and Oatmeal Raisin (but who cares about healthy?). The GF/DF/NF variety is chocolate chip. And, every variety is known to burn more calories than they include!**

So if you’re a Hershey Kiss lovin’, Reese’s Blast rockin’, Choco-Chunk crazy, M&M monsterin’ cookie-holic, contact Brenda Hazard at b.hazard@hvcc.edu or 518-629-7388. Just don’t call me if you want Oatmeal Raisin – I don’t want to know about your “healthy” problem! Orders must be received by close of business Wednesday, March 21. At the rate this month is going, it will probably be a snow day, so order yours TODAY!

Proceeds benefit Albany High Track Team. Expected delivery day is Monday, April 23.

**OK, that’s a lie. Just trying to be funny here.
