This week in athletics

 

Men’s lacrosse (3-1) split their two games last week with a 22-4 loss at No.4 ranked Genesee on Wednesday and an 11-5 win over Jefferson on Saturday.

The Vikings never trailed in their win over Jefferson and were led by Mark Calicchia and Darren Nagy. The duo combined for seven goals with Calicchia scoring four goals and Nagy added three goals on seven shots.

Upcoming Games: Wednesday, Mar. 28 at Tompkins-Cortland (4 p.m.)

Baseball (0-0) hits the road this week and is scheduled to play eight games in the next seven days. The road trip starts Monday, Mar. 26 when the team plays a double header against Frederick Community College.

Tuesday, Mar. 27 at Camden County (3:30 p.m.)

Tuesday, Mar. 27 vs. Bucks County (6:30 p.m.)

Saturday. Mar. 31 at Montgomery County (12 p.m./3 p.m.)

Track and Field kicked off its 2018 season on Saturday at the Wesleyan Spring Invitational. Both the men’s and women’s programs competed with purpose as the athletes and coaches were eager to put Hudson Valley back on the map as a regional contender. In all, Hudson Valley came away with 13 top-10 finishes, and numerous athletes positioned themselves as potential Region 3 Championship qualifiers.

Softball (0-0) wass scheduled to begin its 2018 season this week but the games are expected to be rescheduled due to the current conditions of the softball fields at Mohawk Valley and our campus.
