Time Management Strategies for Online Teaching: How to Engage Students and Avoid Teacher Burnout  (NEW)
Many faculty who teach online classes each semester try to balance the course load between updating materials as part of teaching, engaging students through the discussion board, and evaluating student performance. However, by the end of the semester, many faculty are exhausted or burned out. Eric Salahub, who teaches philosophy, ethics, and logic at Front Range Community College, provides strategies that could help manage the time being spent in teaching an online course while avoiding burnout in this webinar.

Excel by the Numbers: As Easy as 1 + 1 (NEW)
This three-hour, hands-on workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and experience needed to create and use formulas and functions within an Excel workbook. Participants will open, modify, and save an Excel workbook as well as learn to create and navigate between worksheets.

Beginning with a brief review of the Excel window, participants will learn proper terminology as they explore the Ribbon, Ribbon tabs, Group names, Quick Access Toolbar, Title bar, and Excel status bar.  Participants will then learn to create simple mathematical formulas manually and using the auto feature.  Additionally, they will learn to copy and paste formulas. Finally, participants will learn to use more complicated functions such as the If, PMT, and Lookup functions. As a prerequisite for this workshop, participants should have experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.  Prior experience using Excel would be helpful, but is not necessary.
