Week of the Young Child event for today, April 19: Differentiated Instruction Strategies

 

The campus community is invited to participate in the Week of the Young Child events presented this week by the Teacher Preparation Department.

Thursday, April 19
Week of the Young Child: Differentiated Instruction Strategies
2 to 3 p.m., room 100, Higbee Hall
Matt Ryan, assistant director at the Spotted Zebra Learning Center, will discuss practical ways to adapt and differentiate curriculum for students with special needs in a classroom setting, which will include practical steps that can be taken by teachers to create an environment where all children can be as successful as possible.

Friday, April 20
Week of the Young Child: Smiles For Life
Noon to 1 p.m., room 100, Higbee Hall
Katherine Donnelly and Nicole LaPlante, students in the college’s Dental Hygiene Program provide early childhood educators with oral health resources that are practical and developmentally-appropriate for children.
