In a baseball themed event on April 23 at the Educational Opportunity Center, Dr. “Drew” Matonak received the distinguished EOC MVP Award in a presentation by the EOC administration, faculty, staff and students.
Playing off Drew’s love of baseball, the event included baseball themed games and food — cotton candy, hot dogs, peanuts, nachos, and snow cones.
Drew received several items including a baseball bat made by EOC Building Trades students, a steel trophy made by EOC Welding students, a Healthy Retirement guidebook from EOC Nursing Assistant students, and a hand-drawn portrait collage made by one of the EOC ESL students.
Congratulations on your retirement, Drew! You’ll be missed at the EOC!
