Passing of Philip Hoff, father of Susan Hoff Haynes

 

With sadness I inform you of the loss of a parent of a long-time EOC faculty member who recently retired.

Susan Hoff-Haynes was an academic professor at the EOC for 29 years from November 1987 until her retirement in August 2016. Susan’s father, Philip passed away on April 26, 2018. Philip served as governor of the state of Vermont for six years.

Because of his prominent role in politics, Philip’s passing was covered in both local and national news outlets. A few links are provided below.

In addition to her work at the EOC, Susan served on various committees at the college and was well known by many. On behalf of all of us who worked with Susan, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to her and her family.
