Creating a positive new hire experience

 

Have you recently hired a new employee? Do you have a plan to orient new employees to the department or the campus in general? Do you have a training program to ensure your new hire is successful? Do you have a mentor program? If you don’t have these items, we need to start thinking about how we introduce new employees to our world.

Human Resources has been changing its on-boarding process. But we are only one, “small” piece of ensuring new employees are successful. Department heads and supervisors have a responsibility to ensure new hires have a positive experience.
