WDI offers Security Guard 16-hour on-the-job training on July 24!

 

The Workforce Development Institute is offering a Security Guard 16-hour On-The-Job training class beginning Saturday, July 24, 2018. This is a 16 hour course that must be completed within 90 days of employment as a security guard.

The course provides the student with detailed information on the duties and responsibilities a security guard. Topics covered in this course include the Role of the Security Guard, Legal Powers and Limitations, Emergency Situations, Communications and Public Relations, Access Control, Ethics and Conduct, Incident Command System, and Terrorism.

Schedule:
Tuesday, July 24 & Thursday, July 26 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuition: $160

Prerequisites: Applicants must be 18 years of age, must not have been convicted of a serious criminal offense, and must be a citizen or resident alien of the United States. A minimum of a 10th grade reading skill level in English is required.

The passing of a written examination is required for successful completion of this course.
