Heating Systems — Service & Repair

This Workforce Development course provides introductory training and lab activities in various heating systems using gas, oil and electric, including:
- The fundamentals of heating systems, and the service and repair of these systems.
- The testing of these systems for efficiency and safe operation.
- Proper installation techniques.
- Basic service and diagnostic procedures/fault diagnosis on each type of furnace and boiler.
- Techniques on the proper use of meters, gauges and other diagnostic instruments.
The 42-hour course includes a one-hour review and a two-hour exam.
Prerequisites: Minimum 9th grade reading, writing and math skills; strong interest in the fundamentals of heating systems
Sept. 10 – Nov. 19, 2018
Mondays, Sept. 10 to Nov. 12, from 5 – 9 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 19 from 5 – 7 p.m.
