Hudson Valley students Jamie Gauthier, a Business Administration major, and Alan Robinson, an Entrepreneurship major, will launch their new business, The Happy Teacup, this weekend in a kiosk at Colonie Center.
The tea shop started as group project for Gauthier and Robinson’s entrepreneurship class at the college, but soon blossomed into a full-fledged business. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1, and customers can enjoy a 10% discount during opening weekend.
The Happy Teacup will serve hot and iced tea and sell loose leaf tea and teabags as well. Customers can choose from nearly 30 flavors of black, green, white and herbal teas or create their own blend with teas from the list.
