The Giving Cup Competition
The Giving Cup is an annual competition among departments on campus to raise donations and awareness of the college’s food pantry. There is a ceremony at the end of the spring semester to award the cup.
Smaller departments are allowed to team together for a shot at the cup.
If you’d like to be involved, please contact Kit Haynes at 629-7690 or k.haynes@hvcc.edu.
To participate:
- Collect food donations within your department/organization
- Tabulate your food items (count each item, i.e. 6-pack of juice = 6 items)
- Email Kit Haynes to receive credit for your donated items
- Deliver items to the Food Pantry in the Student Activities Office (CTR 210)
Weekly donations are highly encouraged.
