Toni Howard, chair of the Teacher Preparation Department and an all-around athlete, is spearheading the Capital Region’s first Cycle Nation, a stationary biking fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association’s heart disease and stroke prevention initiatives.
Howard appeared “live” at 7 and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 17 on Spectrum News (channel 9) to promote the event upcoming Thursday, Sept. 27 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Brown’s Revolution Hall, 425 River St. in Troy.
Prospective participants are encouraged to form teams of four to eight riders for the two-hour ride that requires a minimum $1,000 per bike contribution.
