The Center for Effective Teaching is offering two workshops next week: (1) using some of the unique tools in PowerPoint that could help with student engagement, and (2) understanding students with a learning disability.
Cool PowerPoint Tricks and Tips
Do you wonder what PowerPoint can do besides provide animations and transitions? Come explore tips and tricks that allow you to customize your presentation. This workshop will cover creating custom slide shows from one master presentation, animating equations, customizing your videos, and other tools. Do you have specific questions? Bring a PowerPoint presentation that has been started and we will work together to finish it.

Learning Disability Workshop
The Center for Access and Assistive Technology is offering an informative and interactive workshop to help faculty and staff better understand the needs of students with learning disabilities. Along with an introduction to the concept of “disability” and learning about the different types of learning disabilities, this workshop places participants in the role of experiencing life with a disability and assisting anyone to feel comfortable interacting with people who have disabilities.
