Employee evaluations go digital!

 

Exciting news! Human Resources is contracting with Trakstar to support the employee evaluation process at Hudson Valley Community College.

The college’s evaluation process was long overdue for updating and this is a new tool that is easy for both the evaluator and the employee to use. We will work together to iron out the bumps of rolling out a new software.

Some benefits of Trakstar:

  • manages all aspects of employee performance
  • improves communications between managers and employees
  • tracks goals and competencies that can be used for succession planning
  • creates individual goals to support the college’s strategic plan
  • facilitates a consistent and fair appraisal process
  • eliminates the “paper chase” and reduces waste

The goal is to begin training in Trakstar in November, starting with excluded NTPs. The roll out will continue by bargaining group throughout 2019.

Thank you to President Roger Ramsammy, who gave us the go ahead to undertake this initiative, and to those employees who participated in the demonstrations by various software vendors.
