Cross Country
The Hudson Valley Community College men’s and women’s cross-country teams won the 2018 NJCAA Region 3 Championships over the weekend. Jared Craw and Mercedes Planavsky won the individual championships in their respective races.
Football
Hudson Valley Community College football (2-7) had to fight through the cold rain of a nor’easter as the Vikings came up short against their NJCAA Region 3 rival, Erie 28-9 on Saturday. Nathan Fankhanel connected for all three of his field goal attempts.
Men’s Soccer
Hudson Valley Community College men’s soccer (8-6) season has come to an end following the Vikings 2-1 overtime defeat at Mohawk Valley in the open round of the NJCAA Region 3 Championship Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
Women’s Soccer
Hudson Valley Community College women’s soccer (11-3-1) lost a hard-fought match 3-2 on the road at Herkimer in the NJCAA Region 3 Quarterfinal round on Thursday afternoon.

The 2018 basketball season tips off this week with a pair of home games for the Vikings. The men (7 p.m.) and women (5 p.m.) will play Rockland on Thursday, Nov. 1 and the women (1 p.m.) and the men (3 p.m.) will play Cayuga at home on Saturday, Nov. 3.
