Nearly 700 students, faculty and staff attended the inaugural College Thanksgiving Celebration held Monday, Nov. 19.
Many thanks to those who supported the event, specifically the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation, President’s Office and Student Senate for funding the luncheon. Special thanks also go to the Cultural Affairs Program for sponsoring live music performances for all to enjoy.
A number of other offices and individuals helped to make the event a success, including the Bookstore and Faculty Student Association, Graphics and Printing Services, ITS, Mazzone’s Hospitality and the Student Activities Office.
We share appreciation for those who donated items to the college Food Pantry as well. More than 1,000 items were donated, with 750 coming from the Dental Hygiene department. Thank you!
Thanks also to our faculty and administrators who served food and kept the line moving, including Doug Baxter, Eric Bryant, Michael Green, John Heiser, Tyler Kessel, Regina LaGatta, Lucille Marion, Bill Reuter and Ainsley Thomas. Finally, thanks to Debby Gardner for coordinating many event details, and to head football Coach Mike Meuling and Student Trustee Brendan Caluneo for handling the prize drawings.
