This winter, the campus seems abuzz with student organizations and faculty/staff groups who are dedicating time and resources to charitable and philanthropic groups. The Office of Communications and Marketing wants to compile these into one overarching announcement about our good deeds that we can share with SUNY Central, the media and on our social media channels. So, if your group or organization has made a particular outreach effort this holiday, please let us know. Here are the outreach efforts we already know about:
- 12 Days of Giving to Joseph’s House (campus wide)
- Liberal Arts HonorScholar Students donations to Equinox Domestic Violence Shelter
- Teacher Prep Department Outreach at Van Rensselaer Manor
- Animal Outreach Club collecting used blankets, scarves, and/or warm clothing for the homeless and their pets
