Revit® — Introduction
Jan. 14 to Jan. 31, 2019
Introduction to Revit® offers students intensified training in 3D computer-aided drafting (CAD), and building information modeling (BIM), using Autodesk® Revit®.
The course provides students with an overview of Revit® software, focusing on light commercial project applications. This training is ideal for individuals/firms interested in updating or switching from 2D CAD to 3D and BIM.
Students will participate in the following activities:
Producing 2D and 3D drawings
Importing AutoCAD drawings and images into Revit
Understanding how Revit® helps with conflict avoidance of beams, pipes and HVAC ductwork before construction
Demonstrating Revit® plotting and sheet
Creating/customizing title block
Demonstrating advanced Revit® commands to create custom components (doors, windows, casework), walls and roof
Completing presentation and working drawings
WDI offers convenient classes in Revit® that take only a few weeks time to complete!
