SolidWorks® — Introduction

Introduction to SolidWorks® offers students training in Windows-based 3D mechanical computer-aided drafting (CAD), using parametric modeling.
Course content includes:
Background basics: Parametric modeling basics, files and file management
Software Interface: Toolbars and workspaces, file type support, modeling navigation and information, saving and filing
Drawing: Sketches, features, model dimensioning, Boolean commands
Display Controls: Zoom, pan, orientation, display style
Editing: Trim, sketch access, feature access
Drawing Aids: Patterns, relations, reference geometry
Assemblies: Mating components, inserting parts, exploded assemblies
WDI offers convenient classes in SolidWorks® that take only a few weeks time to complete!

Thursday, 1/17 – 2/14 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Prerequisites: Minimum 10th-grade reading and math skills; computer skills, including familiarity with navigating the Windows operating system.
