The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) Committee met on January 15, 2019, at 1 p.m. The meeting minutes are as follows:
Dr. Geehan opened the meeting at 1 p.m. The committee then resumed the task of reviewing remaining Middle States Accreditation Standards and identifying college resources/entities that are directed toward them. The overall purpose of this ongoing effort is to ensure that Hudson Valley Community College meets or exceeds all required Standards in preparation for the next MSCHE visit to the college, which is currently slated for 2023.
The committee completed its review of standards V (Educational Effectiveness Assessment) and most of Standard VI (Planning Resources and Institutional Improvement), leaving Standard VII (Governance, Leadership and Administration) for the next meeting. Dr. Geehan also mentioned that she plans to review Middle States Standards of Affiliation at the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 2 p.m. The next meeting was scheduled for Jan. 29, 2019.
Subsequent meetings are scheduled for: Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 12, March 26, April 9, April 23, May 7 and May 21.
