A new, updated theme will be applied to our Blackboard LMS. This will resolve issues that students and faculty are currently having on iPads and other mobile devices when trying to navigate with an inaccessible menu. There should be no impact to functionality, but you might notice a somewhat different crispness, or more “modern” edge, on design elements on any given page. In some cases you may find you will need to do some tweaking to get exactly what you had before on things like course menu colors, and other visual touches you might have added.
The theme in Blackboard has been overdue for an update, leading to the issues mentioned. The current theme we are applying was tested on a staging instance to make sure it was functional and that it fixed the mobile device issues. Deployment on the production instance, where you access your courses and organizations, will take place during spring break, after grades are submitted, and is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19.
