Assistive Technology and Testing Accommodations on Campus (New):
The Center for Access and Assistive Technology proctors more than 2,000 accommodated exams each semester, many with the use of assistive technology like Kurzweil 3000, ZoomText, and Voice Recognition. Deciphering accommodations can be confusing for the layperson, never mind the assistive technology component. Let the CAAT staff take you through the basics of “assistive technology” as it relates to the testing environment and review the process for accommodated testing. Time permitting, participants will be able to try assistive technology that is used for testing accommodations.
You can also register for this workshop by calling 518-629-7154, or e-mailing h.muller@hvcc.edu.
