NJCAA Region 3 Honors
Nathan Bruce(Scotia/Scotia-Glenville), Mercedes Planavsky (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) and Elijah Washington (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) garnered NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week honors for their individual performances last week.
Men’s Lacrosse
Hudson Valley Community College men’s lacrosse (5-3) pulled away late to win their third straight game after defeating Herkimer, 13-7, on Wednesday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus.
The Vikings trio of Nathan Bruce (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville), John Lawlor (Colonie/Colonie) and Nicholas Malatesta (North Greenbush/ Averill Park) combined for 13 points on eight goals and five assists. The Vikings first seven goals of the game were either scored or assisted by the Vikings trio.
Baseball
The baseball team finished the week with a 3-1 record after sweeping Jefferson on Tuesday, April 2 and split a doubleheader series with ASA Brooklyn, a NJCAA Division 1 program, on Sunday, April 7.
Track and Field
The Vikings track and field program squared off with 15 teams from New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine at the Carla Coffey Classic at Smith College on Saturday. It was another strong showing by the men and women as there were 31 top-five performances, including seven first-place finishes.

Men’s and Women’s Golf
The golf program is set to begin the 2019 season this Saturday, April 13 as they participate in the Onondaga Golf Invitational and the Tompkins Cortland Invitational on Sunday, April 14.
