Viking Wenstrom came long way to hit the long ball

 

Jackson Wenstrom, a member of the college’s baseball team, was recently named the NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week on March 24 and attracted the attention of The Daily Gazette.

In six games during the first week of April, Jackson batted .550 (11-20) with 3 doubles, 1 triple and four home runs. Jackson became the Vikings all-time home run king as he now has 18 career home runs. In 26 plate appearances, he drove in 15 runs, scored 10 runs, slugged 1.400 and posted an on-base percentage of .615.
