The Criminal Justice, Forensic Science and Public Administration Club and the Hudson Valley Community College Alumni Association are hosting the Hon. Andra Ackerman ’92 in Brahan 001 on Monday, April 15 from noon – 1 p.m.
You are invited to participate in hearing Judge Ackerman’s professional journey and her experience as a student at Hudson Valley.
Andra Ackerman is a City Court Judge handling criminal cases for Cohoes. She has over a decade of experience as a special victims prosecutor. The majority of those years she supervised more than 20 attorneys while handling her own caseload that included child homicide and serial rape trials.
As a prosecutor, she also handled numerous Human Trafficking Prevention and Policy cases for the State of New York. She is a former member of the New York State Children’s Justice Task Force and a consultant to the New York State Child Advocacy Resource and Consultation Center.
She is currently a candidate for Albany County Court Judge.
