The Student Life Committee of the Academic Senate is requesting nominations for the John L. Buono Award for Civic Engagement. The award is presented to a graduating senior (or recent graduate) of the college who has shown a commitment to community service through volunteer work.
Nominations are due by Monday, April 15. Please send the following information, via email, to Donna McCart, chair, at d.mccart@hvcc.edu:
- Name of Student
- Brief description of student’s community service volunteer work (non-paid)
The committee will select the recipient who will receive the award during the Student Honors Convocation on Friday, May 17.
