Deadline today: don’t miss out on nominating a worthy student for Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges

by the Who’s Who Committee

Nomination deadline is Dec. 2!

Yes, it is a fact! Any faculty or staff member (college official) may initiate the nomination process for a deserving student to be included in the publication, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 2013-2014.

Being named to Who’s Who is among the most prestigious honors a student can receive.

To be considered for the competitive recognition, students must have completed 24 credit hours at Hudson Valley Community College by the end of the fall 2013 semester; have matriculated; have a 3.2 or higher cumulative GPA at the end of the fall 2013 semester; and demonstrated active participation or leadership in voluntary extracurricular activities and/or voluntary community service while enrolled at Hudson Valley Community College.  Activities or service for which a student received compensation are not considered. (GPAs and credit hours will be confirmed at the end of the fall 2013 semester.)

Complete details are found on the nomination form available on the College’s website or in Guenther, room 159.

If you know of a student who meets the criteria to be considered for this honor, please complete the nomination form and bring it to the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development, Guenther Enrollment Services Center, room 159.

Thank you.
