Jim LaBate will be signing copies of his new book — Writing Is Hard — at the Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza on Saturday, May 11 from 3 to 5 p.m.
As a writing specialist here at Hudson Valley Community College, LaBate’s uses an informal, conversational style in his book to teach writing and grammar in a nontraditional and nonthreatening way. Each essay of 500 to 700 words focuses on a small portion of the writing process or a small part of the mechanics of writing. This book is definitely a user-friendly guide to better writing!
