Starting with Summer Session I on May 20, wireless network traffic to BitTorrent, a recognized source of illegal transfer of copyrighted works, will be flagged. Wireless network users associated with such activity will receive a copyright violation notice and will experience wireless network interruption for up to 15 minutes. After a third notice wireless network access will be suspended pending a meeting with the campus Copyright Officer to review campus policy and copyright law.
This will not impact access to the Wired network.
