The Friends of Oakwood Cemetery welcome the Colonie Town Band at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 8 to present its annual free concert featuring popular and classical music, rousing marches and lively show tunes. Bring your own chair or blanket and claim a spot on the lawn in front of the Earl Chapel.
Children (and the young at heart) will have the opportunity to conduct the 60-piece band’s final march. Strawberry shortcake will be available for purchase.
The only entrance open for this event will be the 186 Oakwood Avenue gate. In case of rain, the concert will be cancelled. (Check “Friends of Oakwood Cemetery” on Facebook for updates.)
Upcoming events are the Celtic Crosses Tour on Saturday, July 13 and a Twilight/Full Moon tour on Tuesday, July 16. More information to come.
