Can you help “Squash Hunger”?

Is your garden teeming with tomatoes? A plethora of peas? Zillions of zucchini?

Capital Roots is a local organization that “works to reduce the impact of poor nutrition on the public health in New York’s Capital Region.” Their program, Squash Hunger, is an initiative to collect produce from local farms and gardens and distribute it to food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters throughout the Capital District.

If you are interested in donating some of your backyard bount, drop it off in MRV 107 or contact Kit at x7690 to pick it up from your office. All donations will be delivered to Capital Roots.
