President Roger Ramsammy will be among 20 local business leaders, executives and educators, who will be honored at the Immigrants’ Ball: Celebrating the American Dream upcoming on Sunday, Aug. 18 at Proctors in Schenectady.
The event is planned to celebrate America as a “nation of newcomers” and will highlight the inspiring diversity of the Capital Region, honoring contemporaries who have come to the United States to fulfill their dreams, and now share their skills and talents for the benefit of many.
“The American Dream, shorthand for our ethos of equal opportunity for all, has served as a beacon of hope for generations of immigrants seeking life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” said Philip Morris, Proctors Collaborative CEO.
The event will feature the varied cultures, customs, food, drink, music, dance and ideas that are the fabric of America, and will benefit the School of the Performing Arts at Proctors, which delivers programs to thousands of students throughout the region each year.
