The Dwight Marvin Library has a new interactive tutorial where students will be able to learn how to search the library’s new OneSearch, how to utilize tools such as emailing records to themselves, and how to access full-text articles. The tutorial is available here. Faculty interested in using this tutorial as a graded assignment or as an extra-credit assignment should contact Stephanie Clowe Ross, reference and instructional services coordinator librarian for assessment opportunities.
In-person library instruction sessions are also available. Faculty interested in scheduling library instruction may complete the online request form or contact Stephanie Clowe Ross, by phone at (518) 629-7392 or by email at s.ross@hvcc.edu. Over 60 library instruction sessions and over 50 College Forum presentations already have been scheduled for the fall semester.
Please request instruction in advance (minimum one week ahead) to ensure that the library can accommodate your preferred date/time. College Forum instructors looking to schedule a library presentation may contact Anne Rappaport, library outreach specialist, at (518) 629-7322 or by email at a.rappaport@hvcc.edu.
