I am pleased to share information on the Multimedia and Video Services department, an area recently created after restructuring Viking Video Technologies and Instructional Technology Services.
The department oversees a wide variety of video, photography and multimedia needs for college offices and departments. It also works in partnership with faculty, supports academic endeavors, collaborates with Communications and Marketing and assists with numerous college events.
Located on the first floor of the Bulmer Telecommunications Center, staff includes John Yost, recently hired as the associate director of multimedia and video services; Kevin Buess, multimedia and video services specialist; and Vincent Giordano, photographic and multimedia specialist. The department reports to John Heiser, director of creative services at the college.
This summer, the Multimedia and Video Services team renovated two video production studios in the BTC to better serve the college community. Both studios are now fully digital, high-definition interconnected workspaces available for faculty and staff use. In addition, a still photography studio is being relocated from the LaPan Services Building to the BTC studios.
Requests for services may be placed online, or to discuss a project, please contact John Yost at j.yost@hvcc.edu; (518) 629-7716.
PLEASE NOTE:
- All instructional and classroom audio-visual/technology services are now overseen by Information Technology Services (ITS).
- Video conferencing services are now also overseen by ITS. Eric Kiel and Roger Pinke continue to support this area.
- Event audio-visual needs are reserved through Institutional Services and Events.
- External client services have been discontinued by the college.
Thank you, and please let me know of any questions (d.kennedy1@hvcc.edu; (518) 629-8071).
