Cross Country
At Cazenovia College’s Homecoming Invitational, the women’s program finished the 5K race in fourth out of six qualifying teams. The race had representation from 10 total institutions. Hudson Valley was led by freshman McKenzie Ryan, who finished the race in second place and posted a time of 22:32.
The men’s cross country team finished their 8K race in third out of eight qualifying teams. Overall, the invitational had representation from 11 institutions. Leading the way for the Vikings was Evan Rogotzke, who finished the race in sixth place with a time of 31:22. Joseph Degiorgio also earned a top-10 finished with a time of 32:15.
Football
Hudson Valley Community College football had a bye week last week and did not play. They are scheduled to travel to play Ithaca JV on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.
Volleyball
The Hudson Valley women’s volleyball program finished the week 1-4. The team earned a 3-0 match win over Tompkins Cortland on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Broome pod.
Men’s Soccer
The men’s soccer program finished the week with a 0-2-1 record. The Vikings dropped back-to-back home games against Herkimer (4-0) and Bergen (2-0), but earned a scoreless tie on the road against a tough Broome program on Sunday.
Women’s Soccer
The women’s soccer team finished the week with a 0-2 record after facing two very tough programs in nationally ranked Herkimer (2-1) and on the road against Broome 3-2 (OT).
Women’s Tennis
Hudson Valley Community College women’s tennis (0-1) matched up against Onondaga Saturday afternoon at Drumlins Tennis Center in Syracuse. The Vikings dropped the match 9-0 to a tough NJCAA Region 3 Onondaga Lazers program.
