Enrollment Initiative Fund proposals due today

Awards range up to $1,000!
2014-2015 applications are due April 16.

Do you have a great idea for increasing recruitment or enhancing retention at Hudson Valley Community College, but your departmental budget is committed to other great ideas? Well, here is an outstanding opportunity!

The Enrollment Initiative Fund has been established to enable you to make that recruitment or retention idea a reality. Want to have a special day on campus for prospective students? Want to establish a partnership with a local high school or agency? Want to send a personalized message to inquiries? Want to initiate an innovative retention strategy? Want to visit another college about a program you are considering? Want to organize a unique competition for students interested in your area of study? Have even more creative ideas?

Funding is competitive and awards will range up to $1,000. Applicants must fill out a brief application describing the activity, its anticipated outcomes and costs. Upon completion of the activity, a brief explanation of the outcomes of the activity will be required. Funding excludes marketing costs already covered in a department’s operational budget and remuneration for college personnel participation.

Funds are available for the 2014-2015 academic year. Applications are due to the Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development by noon on Wednesday, April 16.  Application forms are available at GUN 159 or online in the portal Forms/Documentation section under Enrollment Management. Decisions will be announced the week of May 5, 2014. (Samples of previous initiatives are listed on the Enrollment Committee webpage at www.hvcc.edu/staff/enrollment.)
