The Marvin Library will host “Community Conversations: Immigration,” a discussion on immigration and its effect on present-day America, on Tuesday, April 8 at noon in the library’s Multipurpose Room. The campus community and the public are invited to participate.
To be facilitated by College Minister Cylon George and Library Director Brenda Hazard, the discussion is supported by a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities.
Prior to the discussion, conversation participants will read together an excerpt of United States President Lyndon B. Johnson’s remarks upon the signing of the 1965 immigration bill.
Registration is required, and the first twenty registrants may order a complimentary boxed lunch; all others are invited to bring lunch. Beverages will be provided for all.
