Today’s the day! Installation ceremony for Dr. Roger Ramsammy, the college’s seventh president

Many people from both on and off campus will attend the Installation Ceremony marking the inauguration of Dr. Roger A. Ramsammy as the seventh president of Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, Oct. 25 in the McDonough Sports Complex Field House.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. and be followed by a celebration lunch in the Conway Ice Rink.

For those faculty and staff members who plan to robe and participate in the procession, there is a designated area for lineup in the McDonough gym. It is located at the end of the gym on the right side as you face the stage. Please plan to arrive between 9:45 and 10:15 a.m.

Most offices on campus will be closed from 10:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. to allow employees to attend the ceremony and celebration. Please print out and post this sign if your office will be closed during the event.

Offices that will remain open are Health Services, Physical Plant, Public Safety and the Viking Child Care Center. Classes will be held as scheduled, including at Jordan Road and at TEC-SMART, and the all services will continue throughout the Marvin Library Learning Commons.

Please visit www.hvcc.edu/inauguration/ for more information.

Thank you,

Office of the President
