Today at 6 p.m.: Bryant brings “Bogies and Billygoats” to Albany Institute

Join local author Eric Bryant, assistant director in the Office of Communications and Marketing, for a book talk and signing on Thursday, June 12 at the Albany Institute of History & Art. The free program runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Bryant’s book, Bogies and Billygoats: A History of the Albany Municipal Golf Course, was published in 2003. The “Muny” was a course people loved to hate, but it provided an introduction to the game of golf for thousands of Albany residents. Bogies and Billygoats offers a brief look at the history of golf in the Capital Region through the eyes of those who played there, worked there, and caddied there.

Admission to the Albany Institute of History and Art is free every Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
