The Mortuary Science Club accepted donations this holiday season and was able to sponsor 100 wreaths for the national Wreaths Across America program. Club members, as well as Mortuary Science Department faculty and staff, would like to thank everyone who donated this year.
The wreaths were laid Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, as thousands of wreaths were placed on graves across the United States. This is the fourth year the Mortuary Science Club has participated in this important effort to decorate each and every resting place.
The Wreaths Across America mission to “remember, honor and teach” is carried out through this coordinated wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,600 additional locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.
