The campus community is invited to the annual Community Athletics Day from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the McDonough Sports Complex.
The event will feature a double-header basketball game with the men’s and women’s team playing against their Region 3 rival Herkimer County Community College.
Plus student Madison VanDenburg, who wowed “American Idol” audiences in 2019, will sing the National Anthem before both games!
The day also marks the official unveiling of the new gymnasium floor and new athletic department team logo.
There will be free refreshments and ice cream, caricature artists and free ice skating from noon to 2 pm (skate rentals $3). Earlier in the day, there will be a “thank you” breakfast reception for area high school athletic department personnel who encourage their student-athletes to enroll at Hudson Valley Community College.
Tip-off for the men’s game is at 1 p.m., followed by the women’s game at 3 p.m.
